SPOT tracker
During your trip, you can hire a SPOT tracker and sign up on the Tour Aotearoa tracking website: touraotearoa.maprogress.com. With this service, friends and family can follow your progress on the ride.
In case of an emergency, the tracker also sends a distress signal which will alert New Zealand authorities that you need assistance. To connect to this service, email ta@maprogress.com. MAProgress also hires and sells SPOT trackers.
